Two books this week:
Christopher Fowler - A Memory of Blood
Part of the Bryant and May series of police procedurals. I don't think I've reviewed one of these here yet - if I think it will help after I've finished the book, I'll point you to some reviews of his earlier books in the series. Bryant and May are a couple of very odd police detectives in London who solve crimes that are for one reason or another embarrassing to the police department. This book addresses one of those cases.
David Crystal - The Story of English in 100 Words
I caught the end of an interview with Crystal some time ago. The book sounds fascinating - part dictionary, part history. I'm hoping for something like Bill Bryson's Mother Tongue.
