Right now, I'm reading Twinkie, Deconstructed, as part of my Lenten Food Ethics reading. As always, I'll post about it on Friday, but the basic synopsis is this. In an effort to learn more about the myriad ingredients that go into our prepared foods, Steve Ettinger tracks down to their root sources the various ingredients that go into a Twinkie. I've really just started it, so I can't say much more than that, but it looks interesting as a start.
